Church Cashbook Admin Manual
Superadmin-only configuration. Changes to site settings affect all users and all churches — treat them as governance decisions.
What site settings control
Site settings are key-value pairs stored in the database that control system-wide behaviour. They include:
- Session timeout: how long an inactive session remains valid before the user is logged out
- Maintenance mode: whether the system is in normal operation, drain mode, or full maintenance mode
- Gift Aid settings: whether Gift Aid features are enabled for the installation
- Storage settings: paths for receipts, exports, and logs
- Email settings: the address used for system notifications and error alerts
Governance: Site settings changes affect every user immediately. Record the reason for any change, who authorised it, and the date — either in the maintenance log or via the activity log which will capture the change automatically.
